Well.... That's a good question. The primary goal of all that visit The Hill is relaxation. Unfortunately for The Webmaster chores come first. For the past two years construction of The Hill Headquarters has been underway which accounts for a good portion of The Webmaster's time. He does however find time to enjoy what The Hill has to offer and I am happy to inform you that construction is almost complete so in the future R&R will be the order of the day for all including The Webmaster. Visitors (when not tricked into holding the other end of a tape measure or steadying a board being sawed) enjoy the peace and serenity of all The Hill has to offer.

The surrounding forest of oaks, hickories, dogwoods and numerous other species of trees can be enjoyed by hiking one of the many trails that have been blazed over the past two years.

Wildlife is abundant. Among the four legged varieties The Webmaster has encountered deer, raccoons, opossums, moles, armadillos, squirrels, rabbits, coyotes, and even gray foxes. Box turtles have also been spotted on several occasions (both male and female). The birds bring their songs to The Hill. I was quite surprised one day last Spring to spot the most colorful bird I've ever seen in the wild. It was a Painted Bunting. The insects and spiders are also very interesting. Reptiles also inhabit The Hill. In the heat of the Summer several species of lizards scurry across the sandy terrain. Black snakes appear to have the rodent population well under control. To date no poisonous snakes have been seen - however that is not a reason not to be cautious.

Other diversions include Dominos, Horseshoes, Frisbee Golf, Trap Shooting, and essentially what ever you can dream up. Plans are currently underway to construct a regulation size Volleyball Court.

The nightlife usually centers around the campfire which properly fueled with Post Oak logs establishes the perfect foundation for deliciously grilled dinners. Being halfway between Dallas and Houston the night sky at Trueheart Hill is alive with stars. Counting them is out of the question.

In summary The Hill is a very peaceful place where city folks can escape from the concrete jungle and rejuvenate their bodies and souls.
